The Scribbled Note can be found in Watcher's Keep Altar Level. This item appears in Throne of Bhaal and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.

Alas, I have misplaced the tinderbox for the hearth, and without it, I am unable to light the kitchen fires. The blizzard does not abate, and I fear I feel the cold touch of the grave upon my heart.

Gameplay

Find this note tucked away in a small drawer in a side-table located in a bedchamber.

This note applies to Archivist Giltham, a spirit who apparently isn't even aware he is a ghost and has passed on. This note simply reinforces other clues in the Keep's Altar level that a Tinderbox will be needed to reignite the Kitchen fireplace/hearth. Perhaps its hidden somewhere close by.
